Ipswich and East Suffolk u17s 2012

Luke picked up most improved player in the 2011 season at the awards night. Much the same paced bowler as Peter Rabone, but has the element that he can bat aswell, known for his big shots over the top ‘Cop’ loves a ping!

Brandon has played for IES for a number of years useful with the bat and handy in close in the field, he has been called on to keep wicket 1 game when Jacob was injured and Joel was on holiday. Brandon has a fit twin sister called Kirby who has been spotted watching the lads play in the past.

Peter is Joel’s vice this season and has been very loyal to IES over the years, In 2009 Peter and Lawrence (his twin) won the u17s age group a set of club shirts to wear. Peter is a Fast-Medium paced bowler and is very reliable to pick up wickets.

Joel is captain of the u17s for the season 2012, and has been since 2010. Joel is an allrounder, bowls a bit to keep the overs ticking over and keeps for the sunday X1. Joel is known as a slogger with the bat and loves a big shot

Jack is a first year at U17s level, he has impressed at u15s and will be looking continue the form he showed last year this season. He will be opening the bowling with Peter this season and hopefully he will be pushing into the senior teams.

Dan is another allrounder, came to the club as a bowler but has progressed into a really steady batsmen aswell, Dan picked up batsmen of the year for U17s and U15s last season (2011) as he was playing the age group above himself for the U17s. Dan has been playing senior cricket for IES for 3 years now and looks to progress!

Jacob is the u17s wicketkeeper. He is steady behind the stumps and can hit a ball when connecting with it too. Jacob usually bats between 6-9.

Michael is the u17s only full-time spinner this season, with a height of 5ft 2inches, not the tallest of people, Michael has worked hard over the winter to improve his own game and continues to play regulary for the senior IES teams.

Lawrence has been IES u17s opening batsmen for a number of years now, Lawrence is very consistant and plays very straight. He plays alot at senior level for IES and even played a few games for the 1st X1 on a saturday.

Emmett is a new recruit, signed from Kesgrave in the winter of 2012, Emmett is an allrounder and will give the U17s a bit more experince for the club, he has played senior cricket before for Kesgrave.

Jack joined IES last season (2011) from rivals Copdock. A part time spinner Jack gives you that extra fire power in attack. Always picks up wickets when bowling for the under 17s. Jack has played a selection of senior games for IES and was a regular in Copdocks senior sides.

George is a promising young player, left arm medium, picks up wickets on a regular basis.

George now in his 2nd stint with the club, after giving up cricket 4 years ago, at U11s he skippered the team before leaving the club. Now back with IES he opens the batting with Lawrence and is quite a handy fielder, with a good arm.

George has been in and out of IES like crazy. He is a middle order batsmen and always picks up a good amount of runs. Good bowler aswell, medium paced and good to pick some overs in the middle of play. George can be quite handy in the field aswell, with his long throw.
